Terms and Condition

By registering for and attending this conference, organized by the University of Santo Tomas, the registrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions specified below. Please read them carefully.

1. Personal Information:
   
   
   • Registration and fees: Registration and fees for the Conference is completed only through our online registration platform: https://events.ust.edu.ph/edtech/home. Submission of a registration form constitutes your full intention to attend the conference.
   • Confirmation: Your registration is confirmed upon receipt of full payment and issuance of a confirmation email from us. Please ensure that the details in the confirmation email are correct.
   • Invoice: The e-invoice that will be automatically reflected in your registration after payment is the official invoice for the conference and is recognized by BIR.
2. Cancellation and Refund
   
   
   • Cancellation by Attendee: Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to edtech.conference@ust.edu.ph at least 6 days before the conference.
   • Refund Policy: Our refund policy is as follows:
     • Cancellations received on or before May 10, 2025: 50% refund of the registration fee.
     • Cancellations received between May 11-14, 2025: 25% refund of the registration fee.
     • Cancellations received after May 15, 2025: No refunds will be issued.
     • No refunds will be given for no-shows.
   • Transfer of Registration: In lieu of cancellation, you may be able to transfer your registration to another individual, subject to our approval. Please notify us of the transfer request at edtech.conference at least 2 days prior to the Conference start date. Upon email confirmation by the organizing committee, the requested transfer is final.
   • Cancellation or Postponement by Us: We reserve the right to cancel or postpone the Conference due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to force majeure events (e.g., natural disasters, acts of terrorism, pandemics), low registration numbers, or other reasons beyond our control.
     • In the event of cancellation by us, you will be offered a full refund of the registration fee paid. We will not be responsible for any other expenses incurred by you, including but not limited to travel and accommodation costs.
     • In the event of postponement, you will have the option to either retain your registration for the new dates or receive a full refund of the registration fee paid.
3. Conference Attendance and Conduct:
   
   
   • Admittance: We reserve the right to refuse admission to or eject any person whose conduct is deemed disorderly, disruptive, or disrespectful to other attendees, speakers, staff, or the venue.
   • Code of Conduct: All attendees are expected to adhere to our Code of Conduct Of the University. By attending the Conference, you agree to treat all individuals with respect and courtesy and to refrain from any form of harassment, discrimination, or offensive behavior.
   • Photography and Recording: Photography and audio/video recording by attendees during sessions may be restricted. Please adhere to any instructions provided by the Conference organizers or speakers. We may arrange for official photographers and videographers, and by attending the Conference, you grant us the right to use any images or recordings in which you appear for promotional purposes.
   • Personal Belongings: We are not responsible for any loss or damage to your personal belongings brought to the Conference venue.
   • Health and Safety: Attendees are responsible for ensuring their own health and safety during the Conference. Please inform us of any specific medical conditions or dietary requirements during registration so that we can make reasonable accommodations, if possible. You agree to comply with all health and safety guidelines and protocols implemented by the Conference venue and organizers.
4. Intellectual Property:
   
   
   • Conference Materials: All materials distributed at the Conference, including but not limited to presentations, handouts, and digital content, are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. These materials are for the personal use of registered attendees only and may not be reproduced, distributed, or modified without the prior written permission of the copyright holder.
   • Speaker Content: The views and opinions expressed by speakers are their own and do not necessarily reflect the views of the Conference organizers.
5. Limitation of Liability:
   
   
   • To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages (including, without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other economic advantage) arising out of or in any way connected with your registration for, attendance at, or inability to attend the Conference, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
   • Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Conference shall not exceed the amount of the registration fee paid by you.
6. Privacy:
   
   
   • We are committed to protecting your privacy. Your personal information collected during the registration process will be used in accordance with the Data Privacy Act. By registering for the Conference, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information for this conference only.
7. Entire Agreement:
   
   
   • These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Conference and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether oral or written.
